CRANE Valve Services provides on-site and in-shop repair, products, technologies and services to the fossil power, oil production/refining, petrochemical, chemical, pulp/paper, marine and water/wastewater industries. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the sales of Crane's Valve Testing and Monitoring products to current and potential customers in the offshore oil and gas markets. The initial emphasis will be on identifying key growth opportunities within the Gulf of Mexico region and applying the principles of strategic account leadership to ensure profitable expansion of company products and services. Role involves defining customer requirements and addressing commercial and regulatory needs with the objective of gaining specifications for Crane Valve Testing Products. Critical success factors include negotiating, networking, project management, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Establish strong, strategic relationships at the highest levels of oil and gas companies to develop alliances, influence decision makers, and demonstrate the value proposition of Crane's Valve Testing and Monitoring products.
2) Identify major oil and gas producers to pilot the Valve Testing and Monitoring technology and secure their specification and installation.
3) Develop a target account list of validated opportunities and fill the pipeline for growth with additional leads uncovered during market research and customer conversations.
4) Utilize pricing process expertise to negotiate customer and distributor contracts.
5) Energize and drive account team to deliver on customer commitments.
6) Exceed sales goals and objectives and steadfastly push self and others for results.
7) Become a respected and trusted customer resource that is frequently consulted on product development projects, new applications and questions regarding Valve Testing and Monitoring Products.
8) Develop a cross-functional internal network to effectively and expeditiously respond to customers and regulatory agencies informational needs.
9) Create clear, concise and convincing presentations for customers and regulatory bodies that generate interest and enthusiasm around Crane's Valve Testing and Monitoring products.
10) Develop an in-depth understanding of the value proposition of each of our products and demonstrate the features and benefits to potential customers.
11) Support the Oil & Gas team target system and forecasting process by ensuring they contain up-to-date information on the status of each customer opportunity.
12) Prepare reports on all sales efforts and alert management concerning new market potential, results of travel, customer meetings and competitor's activities.
13) Provide new product development leadership as the commercial "champion," representing customer's needs and application requirements in oil & gas markets and translating them into critical product properties.
14) Vigorously protect intellectual property. Secure Confidentiality Agreements (CDAs) whenever proprietary information is shared.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
> We seek BS or BA candidates with a minimum of 8-10 years business-to-business sales experience. A minimum of 5 years calling on executives in the oil and gas industry is required, preferably offshore.
> Candidate must be able to interface and influence all levels of the customer's organization and have demonstrated negotiations experience.
> Must possess strong strategic commercial skills, drive for results and consistently be one of the top performers.
> Strong relationship development skills are necessary, including the ability to identify customer needs and mobilize the business around them.
> Must be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals and command attention during presentations.
> 50% travel minimum.
> MS Office experience required.
