We’re seeking an extraordinary person to be part of a tight-knit sales and marketing team for a business line within alwaysBEthere. This is a great position for recent college grads seeking an opportunity to take off on an entrepreneurial sales, or marketing path.
POSITION DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be part of a business unit that is chartered with marketing and selling wireless services to the employees of our Fortune 1000 customers. These employees receive significant discounts off retail wireless pricing as a perk of their employment. Products include cell phones, wireless PDA’s, wireless broadband web access, and service plans. The business unit has full responsibility for its operations including marketing, sales, relationship management, operations, and customer support.
As a member of the team, you are responsible for advising, educating, answering the clients’ employees’ questions, and when applicable, closing the sale. It’s your job to run with the discounted pricing advantage and contributing to this thriving business unit. We have highly visible and recognizable clients, some being the largest companies in the world, for whom we provide this service.
The person hired for this position will be responsible for handling all aspects of interaction once prospective customers have inquired via email or phone to get more information or to buy. Much of the “sales” work is offering clear and understandable information and question answering. A majority of the sales are done on the phone or come in via on-line ordering portals and email is used for extensive pro-active follow-up with the customers.
There is no cold-calling as part of this position as all of the activity is in-bound “warm” prospects as generated by our marketing campaigns. All operational activities and customer support for this function are your responsibility as well.
We’re looking for someone who is a good fit for the company and the position, not necessarily for years of experience. If you’re just entering the professional world, this is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your talent, foundational knowledge, and excellent customer skills. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Outgoing personality. This position is not for the timid! You will be expected to complete tasks and projects you’ve never done before with minimal instruction or training.
- Resourceful, tenacious, possess attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in or passion for consumer electronics, specifically wireless and mobile technologies
- Proficient on PCs or Macs, MS Office, and the Internet
- College degree is strongly preferred
You must be available, at times, more than 8 hours per day and, on an occasional weekend, as dictated by client needs and the marketplace. The entire organization is market-focused and we all help out when the market overloads a group or individual. As such, you need to be talented enough, in a broad way, to contribute to other groups and people who get overloaded from time-to-time due to market forces.
You will be expected to help out alwaysBEthere in other ways, too. Be prepared to lend a hand when asked—or when you see the need yourself. This is part of what we all do. Without exception, everyone pitches in where and when necessary.
You will be an integral part of an overall pioneering team and can be called upon, along with everyone else, to shuttle out-of-town visitors to airports, take out trash, do dishes, whip up hot cocoa for guests, or chase down the FedEx parcel carrier to take just one last package. You name it, if it moves the enterprise forward, you'll likely be called upon to do whatever it takes to accrue an ever-growing base of astounded, advanced real-time mobile/wireless solutions users.
