Job Duties:
•Generates profitable sales volume for logistics organization.
•Identifies sales prospects and contacts these and other accounts as assigned.
•Establishes rapport and maintains contact with contract clients and potential clients.
•Effectively collaborates with Operations, Customer Service, Sales Support, Pricing and Administrative Staff.
• Develops profitable new sales opportunities through integrated logistics and supply chain management services to targeted markets.
•Generates sales in the business-to-home package business, specifically catalogers and e-tailers.
•Drives new business development through understanding of freight service integrated logistics, and/or 3rd party supply chain management.
•Interacts with operations and marketing personnel to develop pricing strategy and credit terms with the goal of negotiating terms and contracts with prospects and customers.
•Grows existing relationships by seeking to uncover new and profitable opportunities within an account.
•Understands competitive engagement strategies.
•Designs and implements successful sales strategies.
•Accesses key decision makers, consults with clients on business issues, which include supply chain design and transportation planning, and for selling new business.
