Long Description:
MetaCommunications, an internationally recognized leader in the development of software solutions for the graphics arts industry, and based in Iowa City, Iowa, has an immediate opening for an experienced Software Sales Executive. This position is responsible for managing and driving a consultative software sales process for our software products. Customers include graphic arts based businesses including advertising agencies, publishers, prepress/packaging and the creative/marketing departments of corporations.
Responsibilities
Develop new business and manage a complex sales cycle by cold calling businesses in the graphic arts industry including creative agencies, corporate marketing groups, prepress, and publishing firms. Over 90% of your presentations will be handled virtually using telephone and WebEx presentation software.
Consult with mid to senior level management to provide solutions to their business objectives through sales of our project management software.
Requirements
A minimum of three years of software sales success, inclusive of consultative selling.
A proven track record of selling software products/services requiring complex, multi-level sales processes.
Strong and verifiable closing skills are a must.
Demonstrated background in building relationships and generating revenue where medium/long sales cycles are the norm.
Previous knowledge of the graphic arts industry.
Technical background.
Potential to gain buyer commitment of software solutions priced at $20,000 or more.
Ability to meet sales budget of $1,000,000 or more on an annual basis.
Ability to forge new relationships and build existing relationships with clients at mid and senior levels of management.
Clear and forthright communication skills.
Self motivated and strong initiative.
Ability to learn a new industry and technology quickly.
