Account Manager
Primary Function:
Operating Room assistance with programming of Boston Scientific device implants and subsequent follow-ups.Responsible for soliciting orders, selling Boston Scientific Corporation products assigned and representing the company in accordance with its policies and in the area assigned; for maintaining awareness of local competitive conditions and for reporting back promptly to the Regional Sales Manager or District Sales Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Aggressively solicits orders from present and prospective customers for the products assigned.
· Aggressively seeks new customers and formulates and follows plans for such action as directed by the Regional Sales Manager or District Sales Manager.
· Provides Operating Room system programming assistance for BSC products.
· Provides assistance for BSC implanted device programming on patients performed in physician office or clinic settings. Supply necessary support with programming all BSC products.
· Leverage company resources to assure such support in case of schedule or availability conflicts.
· Provide individual and group training for hospital and physician office staff as identified.
· Coordinate educational efforts within their accounts with the Training and Education Department.
· Adjusts customer complaints in accordance with Boston Scientific Corporation policy and advises Regional Sales Manager or District Sales Manager and Boston Scientific Corporation promptly of any situation beyond scope of authority.
· Adheres to all Boston Scientific Corporation policies and conducts all business in an ethical manner.
· Stays attentive to competitor’s product and merchandizing practices and keeps the Regional Sales Manager or District Sales Manager and Boston Scientific Corporation informed concerning them.
· Maintains Account Consignments and SA Consignment inventory.
· Maintains up-to-date customer record books and other records (BSC Hospital & Physician Profiles) in accordance with Regional Sales Manager or District Sales Manager instructions.
· Prepares and submits call reports by deadline (BSC Monthly, Weekly, & Call Plans) as required by Regional Sales Manager or District Sales Manager.
· Recommends the additions of new products and the modification or deletions of present products to the line as appropriate.
· Attends and participates in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed.
· Assists in the field training of any sales person as requested by the Regional Sales Manager or District Sales Manager.
· Cooperates with all personnel on the execution of Company programs.Provides service to customers per their individual needs.Submits reports and provides information as directed.
· While travel will be constrained to a geographic area, it will require episodic travel. Travel outside of territory state could occur on a regular basis.
· On-call duties may be required 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
· May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
2 years experience in aggressive 100% commission sales role
Must be available to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical device sales experience
Operating room conduct and Hospital, physician’s office or Medical Field support knowledge
2+ years experience in a sales and/or clinical role
Exposure to FDA regulations
