Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or commensurate experience.
Minimum of 2 years' Pharmaceutical/Health Care sales experience or work experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
A successful track record with previous positions.
Demonstrated competency in key dimension areas including Sales Ability, Planning & Organizing, Analysis, Oral Communication, Motivational Fit, and Ability to Learn. Competency using Call Reporting Software preferred. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail (Lotus Notes) reqired.
Details:
Effectively utilize knowledge of GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSKCH) products and promotional plans in achieving sales objective.
Use current knowledge of competitor's products and promotions to more effectively position GSKCH products with customers.
Demonstrate effective sales skills as indicated by: preparation and organization of the sales call, participation of the customer, personal rapport, fact based (key message) selling, use of promotional materials, and customer commitment to GSK products.
Prepare and submit all required reports in the format and time required.
Follow an overall sales call plan calling primarily on physicians and delivering the required frequency of calls.
Demonstrate knowledge of customers within the territory, including such factors as prescribing patterns, diseases commonly treated and patient profile.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and profiles.
Safely store all product samples and keep an accurate inventory of required drug products.
Communicate with Division Manager, as required.
Travel is limited to attendance at meetings (approximately 5-6 nights per year).
