Albemarle Corporation is currently seeking a Technical Sales Specialist / Account Manager for Americas Sales - Refining Catalysts. This position will be based out of the Houston, TX area - Clear Lake Sales and Marketing Office, and will require approximately 50% travel.
Responsibilities include:
*Provide account coverage to refiners throughout the U.S..
*Develop/manage in-depth, multi-selling relationships with current and potential customers
*Identify potential new business opportunities
*Implement/challenge marketing strategy
*Develop and implement account objectives, strategies and tactics to meet revenue targets
*Negotiate contracts and sales & services agreements.
*Understand customer's business and products/ services requirements and represent the customer's interests within Albemarle Corporation
*Use and maintain a variety of customer relationship management tools including multiple databases, reports, administrative systems, etc.
*Monitor and analyze competitive market data.
*Provide technical assistance and serve as operations specialist as well as troubleshooting assistqance to customers to maintain business.
*Provide presentations of a technical nature to gain new business.
Essential Qualifications:
*BS Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar technical field and/or Business Management
*Minimum 5-7 years of selling experience within the refining market sector with refining catalysts or other speciality chemicals and/ or intermediate products.
*Integrity and trust
*Self-motivated and well organized.
*Multi-task, action oriented, drive for results
*Timely and quality decision making
*Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills
*Strong influencing & negotiations skills.
*Strong team player
*Solid background in sales, marketing, business and/or engineering
Desired Qualifications:
*Minimum 5 years catalysts sales experience to the Refining Industry.
*Previous operations experience in refining, petro-chemical or chemical manufacturing.
