Converted Organics Inc. (NASDAQ: COIN), based in Boston, MA, manufactures all-natural, organic fertilizers and markets these products into the agriculture, professional turf, and retail lawn & garden markets.
Converted Organics accepts food waste, primarily from national supermarket chains, then processes this waste utilizing high temperature liquid composting technology to produce commercial-grade liquid and granular fertilizers. Converted Organics not only converts waste into valuable resources, namely fertilizers, but also offers an alternative to the land-filling of food waste, where it decomposes to produce greenhouse gases.
Converted Organics is seeking a Sales Representative to sell our fertilizers into the professional turf market, including lawn care and golf course market segments.
The Sales Representative will help Converted Organics build a distribution network to allow the company to sell high volumes of fertilizer into these end-markets. The Sales Representative will be responsible for making high level sales calls and influencing key decision-makers to buy our products at potential customers and channel partners. The Sales Representative will also be responsible for growing our business with existing professional turf customers. The ideal candidate would be based in the Eastern U.S.
The successful candidate should have:
• Experience selling fertilizer into the professional turf market
• Strong technical acumen regarding the needs of turf grass professionals
• Drive, initiative and professional presence
• Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills
• The ability to plan and follow-through in order to open doors at new customers.
